Abstract

By natural instinct, mankind seeks to get involved in philanthropy and charitable deeds and when such deeds become widespread they can heal the exhausted souls and bring about bliss. Some western countries introduce themselves as the innovators of philanthropy, however, such deeds started from divine religions. Moreover, many charities existed during Islamic governments and even before charities were shaped in the West.  In this book, the authors seek to analyze the historical trajectory of philanthropy and charity in Iran and the world to identify the problems of charity organizations in Iran so that we can have a share in proposing approaches to attaining a favorable model of charities in Iran.
